Dear members,
Shortly before Christmas, I would like to give you an update concerning SITM.
1) I hope you all have received the provisional program of the Genova congress (8–13 July, 2019), circulated in October, as well as the information about housing. Meanwhile, all those of you who bring along performers should also have received an official letter of invitation, which is necessary for you to apply for travel funding elsewhere. If not, please contact Tiziano Pacciarotti. Tiziano is still doing his best to find some travel support for the actors. I will now upload the information Tiziano sent us in October on our webpage, too, even though I am well aware that the program still is provisional, with additional papers coming in and other papers dropping out. Please keep in mind that all speakers of the congress have to hand in their full-length papers (without footnotes) for pre-publication on the password protected side of our webpage by March 31st, 2019. Please send it via e-mail to me, cc to Tiziano. Please remember that the official languages of the conference are English and French – plus Italian. Whoever presents his paper in Italian, has to deliver an English or French abstract (with the pre-publication or, printed out for all of us, with the presentation at the latest).
2) All those of you who have not paid their membership fees (USD 15/year, the SITM year starting in July and ending in June), should receive a note from our webpage that they have to pay before they can enter the protected pages [watch out, at the moment, there are no papers yet!]. The fees should be paid via PayPal on our webpage (www.sitm.info). If this does not work, please contact our treasurer Lenke Kovács. She also accepts cash payment during the SITM conference, but that is a bit late for reading all papers before they are discussed. If you have paid and still encounter technical problems, please contact Jesse Hurlbut, whom, due to our incompetence, we did not allow to step out as webmaster.
3) volume 21 (2017) of European Medieval Drama has come out in October. Jelle Koopmans is still struggling with volume 22 (2018) with the Durham papers, but it should come out soon. At the moment, I am still collecting articles for 23 (2019): please send me your manuscripts; I would love to have the volume come out in time for the Genova conference, so that the Genova papers can be published in the coming volumes 24 and 25.
Best wishes – have a merry Christmas!
