At IMC 2025: “Worlds of Learning”, University of Leeds, 7-10 July

Session Sponsor:  Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society (MRDS)

Modality:  Blended

The Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society (MRDS) will again host its tailored “New Voices in Early Drama” strand at next year’s Leeds International Medieval Congress (2025). MRDS continues its annual tradition of inviting all scholars new to the field of early drama studies—especially graduate students, recent PhDs, and early career researchers (within four years of receiving the degree)—to submit their work to the panel. The panel will consist of four papers and commentary from a respondent.

MRDS welcomes any and all approaches to early drama studies for this open-topic session. Proposed papers do not have to speak to the Congress’s advised topic of “Worlds of Learning.” However, papers related to this general topic will be especially welcome.

Please send a proposed title and brief abstract of around 100 words to Dr Mark Chambers, at mark.chambers@durham.ac.uk, by Monday, 23rd September 2024.
